Party game · Phones on the table

MESCLA

A party game played with everyone's phones lying face up on the table.

Every phone becomes one player's color. Then all of them together become the board.

App StoreSoonGoogle PlaySoon

Put your phones down. All of them.

Each phone turns into its player's color until the countdown flashes 3 · 2 · 1. From then on, the phones belong to nobody: together, they're the board. Colors pop up all over the table, and everyone reaches, races and bumps hands to find their own.

01 · How it works

Four letters and you're in

  1. 1

    Create a room

Someone opens MESCLA and creates a room. Their phone becomes the host: it runs the game for everyone.

  2. 2

    Join with four letters

Everyone else types the 4-letter code or scans the QR. Each player gets a color and an icon.

    Example room code: KQRW

  3. 3

    Phones down

The host picks a mode and starts. Every screen flashes 3 · 2 · 1, then goes black. Lay them all face up on the table. Play!

Four ways to play

Rush

Free & Full

Speed

See your color? Tap it.

Your color pops up on random halves of random phones. Tap it, wherever it is: every hit scores for that color's owner, so tapping someone else's only helps them. Colors stay up for less and less time as the 90 seconds run out.

  • 90 seconds
  • Solo or in teams
  • Or flip it: tap every color but yours

Echo

Full

Memory

Follow the path.

On your turn, your color hops from phone to phone, each playing its own note. Tap the same path back. Miss and you're out; every round gets one step longer and a little faster.

  • Turn by turn
  • A note on every phone
  • Last one standing wins

Hold

Full

Co-op

Hold on. Together.

Press and hold your color until the ring around it closes. Soon colors show up twice, on different phones, and the whole table ends up holding with both hands and reaching across each other.

  • 2 minutes
  • One team score
  • One to three stars

Duel

Full

Head to head

Fastest tap wins.

A pause nobody can time, then two colors light up at once on two different phones. The faster tap takes the duel. The host checks when each phone saw its tap, so a slower connection doesn't lose a duel it won.

  • No clock
  • Two colors at a time
  • Most duels won wins

03 · Made for the table

A color and an icon each

Every color carries its own icon, so players who can't tell some hues apart can look for their icon instead. Hue is never the only cue.

  • Red
  • Blue
  • Green
  • Orange
  • Purple
  • Pink
  • Cyan
  • Brown
  • Gray
  • Teal
  • No accounts

No sign-up, no profile. Four letters and you're in.

  • Taps land fast

The host's phone runs the game and the others connect straight to it.

  • Tune every mode

Pace, team size, round length and more, set by the host before each match.

  • Six languages

English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian and French.

  • Sound on

Every phone plays its part. Turn the volume up.

  • Online to connect

Every phone needs the app and an internet connection to find the others.
